Annelies Hellem I'm pretty happy with my current skincare routine at the moment. I have very sensitive skin and it tolerates all these products, so I thought it was worth the mention! I'm currently using the Rodial Snake Eye Cream. It sounds scary but it contains tightening and firming elements from snake venom. I love this one because it sinks into the skin very quickly and you can't feel any of it. The product on the left is the Ordinary Niacinamide and Zink serum which costs less than $8 but has a high inpact! It's perfect for acne prone skin, I could already see an effect after the first use, love this thing! This serum from Caudalie fights discoloration and hyperpigmentation on the skin. I alternate this one with my The Ordinary serum. It isn't drying at all, my skin feels very plump after I've used it, nothing bad to say about this one! In the back you can see my Caudalie Concentrated Brightening Essence, which enhances the effect of this serum. Jo Malone is one of my favourite beautybrands, every product just feels so luxurious. This body creme comes in the scent dark amber & ginger lily. It's hard to describe this one, but it's on the musky side. But what I love the most is that the scent stays for so long, no perfume needed! Last but not least I lovelovelove this daycream from Cinq Mondes! I love the texture of it, it smells amazing and it contains spf. Plus, I'm always very happy to find a daycream that doesn't make my skin break out. As a cleanser I use the L'Occitane Pivoine Pure one, it's a foamy cleanser that does the job well, nothing bad to say!
That's it! Do you use any of these products and which one is you favourite? Annelies Hellem I've gathered some lovely beauty products the past few weeks that I absolutely love to feature in a 'favourites' post for you guys, hope you like it! The first thing is this daycream from L'Occitane (one of my favourite skincare brands!). It's especially good for oily skin because it keeps the skin matte throughout the day. I don't use this cream all over my face but just on my T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) because I tend to be the most shiny there and I must say it tamed the oils very wel! Look at that packaging! I was so excited for the Estée Lauder x Victoria Beckham collection to come out, the packaging just breathes elegance! I've got this lipstick in the shade 'Chilean Sunset' which is a perfect mixture of red and orange tones. I love wearing this shade with a clean eye make-up look. Here's a little swatch, the consistency is creamy and feels comfortable on the lips. Just look at that! The eyeshadow palette from the Estée Lauder x Victoria Beckham collection is an absolute gem as wel! It feels super luxurious and heavy. Here are the colors, just perfect during fall! There are two more colorful ones, the blue and green, but they are very wearable since they are pretty muted. The color payoff is also great, just pure love for this pretty palette. This face scrub from Caudalie is the best one I've tried yet! It consists of alot of super tiny grains which makes the scrub perfect for my sensitive skin. Meet the moondust eyeshaduw palette from Urban Decay with the most sparkley eyeshadows I've ever seen! This picture really doesn't do it justice, it's so much sparklier in real life! The glitter particles are small so it looks very refined on the eye and the color payoff is amazing as well! Definitely worth to check this one out if you have the chance. Some other products from Urban Decay, these two brushes. I've used them everyday since I got them and I couldn't miss them anymore! The one on top is called 'The Finger F110'. I use it to put on eyeshadow on the lid of my eye, afterwards I use the bottom brush called 'Tapered Blending E209' to blend the eyeshadow upwards in my crease. I don't know if the top brush is supposed to be used with eyeshadow, I think it would be perfect to blend concealer with as well. And last but not least this eyeshadow palette called 'Burgundy Times Nine' from MAC. These are the colors I always reach for, especially during this time of year. I won't be suprised if I would hit pan on every single color because they are all super gorgeous and very wearable. I love how you can make a neutral look with the top row of colors and a more smokey eye look with the two bottom rows. Gorgeousnesss! The middle color from the bottom row is my favourite one, it's like a red rusty color which I haven't seen alot around. And that was my little tray full of products I fell in love with. I'm planning to do this kind of posts regulary. When I have found enough products I really love to fill this tray, I'll let you know in a next beauty favourites post! Hope you liked it! Let me know if you use any of these products and what your thoughts are, I would love to know! xx, A Annelies Hellem This summer I went to Tomorrowland and WeCanDance here in Belgium. I was so happy to hear that one of my favourite make-up brands MAC cosmetics was going to be represented at both festivals. Firstly I went to Tomorrowland where the main stage was like a dream, there were even little waterfalls in it! Here's my MAC festival kit I that came quite in handy. The travel sized Studio Moisture Cream and Prep & Prime spray were my absolute essentials during the summerfestivals! You can also see a waterproof mascara, a duo eyeshadow and a versicolour stain in the color 'forever, darling'. All the products are fantastic, like we're used to from MAC. My favourite part of Tomorrowland was the set of our fellow Belgian Lost Frequencies, his music and the ambiance during his set was amazing! My favourite stage besides the main stage. I went for a quick stop at the MAC booth on Tomorrowland for a make-up look that would last aaall day. Not the best picture, but this was the look. Love how the brown and gold eyeshadow fade into each other, something I will definitely try out myself! The second festival I went to this summer was WeCanDance at the Belgian coast, the weather was absolutely perfect that day! One of the stages, the theme was 'space' this year so almost everyone was dressed in their best spacey outfits, loved that! I went for a Star Wars look Here's the booth from MAC, they didn't miss out on the space theme and created space looks with the MAC Star Trek collection. Here's the look I got, I really loved the touch of glitter on the eyes! The MAC Star Trek collection is full of muted and shimmery colors, something that's quite easy to use in everyday looks. Here's a pressed pigment in the color 'bird of prey'. It's a greenish-brownish color. Something that's a little different but still very wearable. More space goodness: a lipstick in the color 'kling it on', lipglass in 'pleasure planet' and nailpolish in 'skin of evil'.
Hope you liked this little diary! Summer sadly comes to an end already here, I'm so nooot ready for fall and winter yet! Wish you a lovely weekend! xx Annelies Hellem
I always switch to nude and white colors for my nails during summer, it just feels so clean and fresh. This one from Essence in the color 'take a break' is the perfect white one, it's not too white like you just painted tipp-ex on your nails, but just the perfect soft white hue :) I also got this book from Garance Doré. It seems like everyone in instagram got it but if you like the style of her blog, you will definitely like the book too! xx A.
