Rome: a visual diary + my tips Image 1

I recently went on a citytrip to Rome and I must say, pictures really doesn't do it justice. Especially the architecture really was breathtaking! My favourite thing was that there was so much history in every corner, read my tips on what to do, where to stay and what to eat below.

- To visit: the Trevi fountain

I've never been so overwhelmed by architecture than the moment I saw the Trevi fountain, it's so impressive!

The picture really really doesn't do it justice, you just have to see it in person.

- to eat: Giolitti ice-cream

Giolitti was the first ice-cream shop in Rome. No joke, this was the best ice-cream I've had in my life (and I've had many :p )

Did you ever see such a dark chocolate scoop? Must try when you are in Rome!

- to visit: Vatican City

Together with the Trevi fountain, it was the place I was most impressed of. The architecture... It's crazy that mankind could build such incredible buildings before the help of technology. The only thing I would recommend is to search for a guide who offers a 'skip the line' ticket, especially when you visit Rome in season, so you don't have to wait in line to visit the buildings.
